Ian Williams, the former Nike janitor-turned-Nike shoe designer, has been making headlines with his new business adventure here in Portland. Williams said he was missing the community feel and without knowing anything about coffee, he decided to open up a shop. Just because he’s stepped into the coffee business doesn’t mean he’s giving up his passion for sneakers. Deadstock Coffee displays sneaker books, posters and images of his time as a designer. He hopes that the shop is a place for people to visit, relax and share their passion for sneakers and designing. Deadstock is open for business. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or relax and take in the gallery.
